Perversions of God's Word the KJB

We firmly adhere to the KJB only without apology. All other translations listed below are perversions of God's preserved, inspired, inerrant, and infallible Holy Scriptures the King James Bible. To know exactly what we believe about the KJB go to our KJB 1611page.

Read this man that perverted God's Word and work. Acts 13:7-10 "Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?" This demon possed man named Elymas was called by Saul a "child of the devil" who was perverting God's Word and His work. His words were perversions. The Webster's 1828 definition of the word perversion is "PERVER'SION, n. L. perversus. The act of perverting; a turning from truth or propriety; a diverting from the true intent or object; change to something worse. We speak of the perversion of the laws, when they are misinterpreted or misapplied; a perversion of reason, when it is misemployed; a perversion of Scripture, when it is willfully misinterpreted or misapplied, &c."

Again, read what Paul said in Galatians 1:6-9 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Paul is marveled that these Christians were listening to another gospel that he calls a perversion of the true gospel of Christ. Those who write perversions have a curse on them that is given here twice, not to mention the one given in Revelation 22:18-19. Paul said that it matters not if he wrote it, an angel, and that includes "scholars."

Those writing perversions are not something new; it's an old trick of the devil. Have you ever read the perversion of Satan in Genesis 3? Genesis 3:1-6 "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

Read and listen to what God really said in Genesis 2:16-17 "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Everything here in verses 16-17 is what God DID say. Let’s look at the subtlety of Satan, and his slippery slope of perverting God's Word and uses Eve to help him.

I have color coded the section below to help distinguish what the Scriptures are teaching.

Everything Satan said is inBlack below.

Every thing Eve said is in Pink below.

Everything God said is in RED below.

Everything I say is in Blue below.

1. God's Word is Questioned--"Yea, hath God said,"

Genesis 2:16 "the LORD God commanded the man, saying"

This is always the first step of Satan, to try and get man to question God's Word. Notice that Satan didn't start out with denying God's Word. Instead, it was more subtle in the form of a simple question. This is the same question he asks every Christian, pastor, preacher, teacher, evangelist, missionary, college president, scholar, professor, and student of Hebrew and Greek. "Yea, hath God Said..."

2.  God's Word is Changed--"Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden"

Genesis 2:16 "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat"

Changing God's Word carries with it a curse.

 3. God's Word is Omitted--"We may eat of    the fruit of the trees of the garden:"

Genesis 2:16 "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat"

Eve left out the word "freely." The original said, "Freely." This is the FIRST sin committed by any human in the Bible regardless of what the brethren say. The fruit of the tree is not eaten till later. Certainly omitting God's word is a sin (Rev. 22:18-19; Proverbs 30:5-6; Deut. 4:2). "Freely" is most important because the gift of god is freely offered to all sinners "freely." This is the same subtile trick Satan does in the new perversions. He omits the words.

4. God's Word is Added To--"neither shall ye touch it..."
Genesis 2:17 "thou shalt not eat of it"

Eve became a scholar and began to correct God's Word by adding to it. So God cursed her just like he promised.

5. God's Word is Denied--"Ye shall not surely die..."

Genesis 2:17 "thou shalt surely die"

Only one word is different but it doesn't mean the same thing. The "scholars" will tell you that two things that are different mean the same thing. That is a lie. They tell you one word doesn't make a difference. The same thing Satan said to Eve. You see what it got her. The scholars and Bible translators tell you that there is no difference between the words blood and death. Satan is calling God a liar, as well as the scholars who remove the blood.

6. God's Word is Deserted--"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."

In every effective lie there is at least four-fifths truth. The truth is, "God doth know," "your eyes shall be opened," "ye shall be as gods," and "knowing good and evil." All four of those statements are absolutely truth. The only problem is that Satan didn't tell Eve the whole truth, only part of it. He deserted the whole truth by not sharing with Eve that God knows more than he talks to Eve about (1 Chronicles 28:9-10), opened eyes is not necessarily a good thing (Habakkuk 1:13), being as gods doesn't solve anything (Psalms 82; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4), and knowing good and evil is what condemned Adam and Eve (sinners).

8. God's Word is Doubted--"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise..."

When one begins this slippery slope of questioning God's Word it always leaves one doubting what God said. This is followed by a loose lifestyle because who really knows what God said? There are so many different versions how do we know which one is correct? So they become their own god, and decide for themselves what is right. Many people have told me that they have written their own translation. Why? Doubt. Humanism and now New Ageism.

If you notice here Eve's temptation is the classic threefold form which runs throughout the Bible. It began with a look. 1. "Lust of the flesh," "good for food." 2. "Lust of the eyes," "pleasant to the eyes." 3. "Pride of life," "Desired to make one wise." One commentator said, "Notice that every element in it is positive and for a good cause. Technically, there is not one thing wrong with what Eve was about to do--except it was forbidden. The first "positive thinker."

9. God's Word is Disobeyed--"...did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

This is the ultimate goal of Satan, to get people to disobey God. This slippery slope is so subtle to begin with, "Yea, hath God said?" This is the same thing Satan is doing in all of the perversions on the market today.

To a Bible believer this is a crystal clear, but to a Bible corrector it's a muddy issue.
